Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups white whole wheat flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.25 cups plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon oil spray of choice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds

Equipment

  • Air Fryer

Method

  1. Preheat the air fryer at 350 degrees F for 2-5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, Greek yogurt, and an egg with a silicone spatula.
  3. Once the dough begins to form, switch to using your hands to knead the dough until you have a round ball. If the dough is too sticky, add flour as needed.
  4. Divide the dough into six equal parts with a knife.
  5. Prepare the working surface by sprinkling a little flour on a cutting board. Wet your hands with warm water to make molding easier.
  6. Take one section of dough, roll it into a rope, and pinch the ends to form a bagel. Repeat until all six bagels are formed.
  7. Spray each bagel with oil spray and sprinkle sesame seeds on top, gently pressing them in.
  8. Spray the air fryer basket with more oil spray to prevent sticking. Air fry the bagels at 350 degrees F for 10-15 minutes, cooking in batches if necessary.
  9. Store the bagels in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat in the air fryer or microwave.
