Ingredients
  

Taco Filling
  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1 cup refried beans optional
  • 1 cup shredded cheese cheddar or Mexican blend
Taco Shells
  • 8 count taco shells
Toppings
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup sour cream optional
  • 1/4 cup sliced jalapeños optional

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add taco seasoning and water as directed on the packet. Stir in refried beans if using, and cook until heated through.
Assemble Tacos
  1. Place taco shells in a baking dish.
  2. Fill each taco shell with the beef mixture and top with shredded cheese.
Bake
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Serve
  1. Remove from the oven and top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, sour cream, and jalapeños as desired.
