Ingredients

Chicken Marinade
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup BBQ sauce your favorite brand
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil for marinating
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Vegetables (optional)
  • 1 bell pepper cut into 1-inch pieces any color
  • 1 medium red onion cut into 1-inch pieces
  • 1 zucchini sliced

Method

Prepare the Marinade
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the BBQ sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
Marinate the Chicken
  1. Add the chicken cubes to the marinade and mix until well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Prepare the Skewers
  1. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning. Thread the marinated chicken and optional vegetables onto the skewers.
Grill the Skewers
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
Serve
  1. Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy your BBQ chicken skewers!
