A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, creamy mascarpone, and a rich cherry-amaretto flavor.

Ingredients
  

For the Tiramisu
  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup amaretto liqueur
  • 1 cup strong brewed coffee cooled
  • 12 pieces ladyfinger cookies
  • 1 cup cherries pitted and halved
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 4 pieces whole cherries for decoration

Method
 

Prepare the Cream Mixture
  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
Combine Coffee and Amaretto
  1. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled coffee and amaretto liqueur.
Layer the Tiramisu
  1. Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee-amaretto mixture for a few seconds, then layer them in the bottom of a 9x9 inch baking dish.
  2. Spread half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers.
  3. Add half of the cherries on top of the mascarpone layer.
  4. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, mascarpone mixture, and cherries.
Chill and Serve
  1. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to set.
  2. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder and garnish with whole cherries.

Notes
