Ingredients
  

Ribs
  • 2 pounds pork ribs baby back or spare ribs
Cherry Balsamic Glaze
  • 1 cup cherry preserves
  • 1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce optional for added umami
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Ribs
  1. Preheat the oven to 300°F (150°C).
  2. Remove the membrane from the back of the ribs and season with salt and pepper.
Make the Cherry Balsamic Glaze
  1. In a saucepan, combine cherry preserves, balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper.
  2. Simmer over medium heat until the mixture thickens, about 10-15 minutes.
Bake the Ribs
  1. Place the ribs on a baking sheet and cover with aluminum foil.
  2. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, until tender.
Grill and Glaze
  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Remove the ribs from the oven and brush generously with the cherry balsamic glaze.
  3. Grill the ribs for 5-10 minutes, turning occasionally and basting with more glaze, until caramelized.

Notes
