Ingredients
  

Butterfly Pea Flower Tea
  • 4 cups water for brewing tea
  • 4 tablespoons dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 2 tablespoons honey or sweetener adjust to taste
Latte Base
  • 2 cups milk dairy or plant-based
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon sugar optional, adjust to taste
Garnish
  • 4 slices lime for garnish
  • 4 sprigs mint for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Tea
  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a teapot.
  2. Add 4 tablespoons of dried butterfly pea flowers to the boiling water.
  3. Steep for 5-10 minutes until the tea turns a deep blue color.
  4. Strain the tea into a pitcher and stir in honey or sweetener to taste.
Make the Latte
  1. In a separate bowl, whisk together 2 cups of milk, vanilla extract, and sugar until frothy.
  2. Fill glasses with ice and pour the butterfly pea flower tea halfway up each glass.
  3. Slowly pour the milk mixture over the tea to create a layered effect.
  4. Garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs.
