Beef and Marinade
  • 1 pound flank steak thinly sliced
  • 3 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice freshly squeezed
  • 1 tablespoon sugar or honey
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes adjust to taste
Salad Base
  • 2 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 cup cucumber sliced
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes halved
  • 1/2 cup red onion thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup fresh cilantro chopped
  • 1/4 cup fresh mint chopped

Method
 

Cooking Process
  1. Marinate flank steak in fish sauce, lime juice, sugar, garlic, and chili flakes for 15 minutes.
  2. Grill or pan-sear the marinated flank steak for 3-5 minutes on each side or until cooked to desired doneness. Let rest for a few minutes before slicing.
  3. In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, cucumber, cherry tomatoes, red onion, cilantro, and mint.
  4. Add the sliced beef on top of the salad mixture.
  5. Toss the salad gently to combine and serve immediately.
