Ingredients
  

Dough Base
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour heat-treated
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips

Method
 

Prepare the Dough
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix until creamy.
  2. Add the vanilla extract and salt, and mix until well combined.
  3. Gradually add the heat-treated flour, mixing until just combined.
  4. Fold in the chocolate chips with a spatula.
  5. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.

Notes

Make sure to heat-treat the flour by baking it at 350°F (175°C) for 5-10 minutes to kill any bacteria.
