Method
Marinate the Chicken
- In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, rice vinegar, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Add the chicken pieces to the marinade and toss to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Prepare the Skewers
- If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
- Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece.
Grill the Skewers
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.
- Remove from the grill and let rest for a few minutes before serving.
Serve
- Garnish with sliced green onions and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
