Oreo Ice Cream Cake

Ingredients
  

Cake Base
  • 24 pieces Oreo cookies crushed
  • 5 tablespoons unsalted butter melted
Ice Cream Layers
  • 2 pints vanilla ice cream softened
  • 2 pints chocolate ice cream softened
Topping
  • 1 cup whipped cream for topping
  • 6 pieces Oreo cookies for garnish

Method
 

Prepare the Cake Base
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed Oreo cookies and melted butter until well mixed.
  2. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan to form a crust.
Layer the Ice Cream
  1. Spread a layer of softened vanilla ice cream over the crust and smooth it out.
  2. Freeze for 30 minutes until firm.
  3. Spread a layer of softened chocolate ice cream over the vanilla layer and smooth it out.
  4. Freeze for another 30 minutes until firm.
Add Topping and Freeze
  1. Spread whipped cream over the top layer of chocolate ice cream.
  2. Garnish with crushed Oreo cookies.
  3. Cover and freeze for at least 2 hours or until fully set.
Serve
  1. Remove from the freezer, release the springform pan, and slice to serve.
