Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 4 cups fresh peaches sliced and pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar divided
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Topping
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Toss to coat the peaches evenly.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased 9-inch baking dish.
Make the Topping
  1. In another bowl, whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients, stirring until just combined.
  3. Pour the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish, spreading it evenly.
Bake the Cobbler
  1. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the topping is golden brown and a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
  2. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
