Ingredients
  

Filling
  • 2 cans sliced peaches in syrup, drained
  • 1 cup sugar adjust based on sweetness preference
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch for thickening
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon optional
Batter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter melted
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Method
 

Prepare the Filling
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, and cinnamon. Mix well and set aside.
Make the Batter
  1. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  2. Add the milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
Assemble and Bake
  1. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  2. Pour the batter over the peaches, spreading it evenly.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is golden brown.
Serve
  1. Let the cobbler cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm, optionally with ice cream.
