  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh peaches sliced
Frosting
  • 1 cup heavy cream chilled
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Method
 

Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. Add softened butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract. Mix until smooth.
  4. Fold in the sliced peaches gently.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow the cake to cool completely in the pan before transferring to a wire rack.
Frosting Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  2. Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, continuing to whip until stiff peaks form.
  3. Spread the whipped cream frosting over the cooled cake.
  4. Garnish with additional peach slices if desired.
