Ingredients
  

Cake Layer
  • 1 box vanilla cake mix prepared according to package instructions
Fruit Layer
  • 1 cup strawberries sliced
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 cup raspberries
Cream Layer
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream chilled
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar adjust to taste
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Method
 

Prepare the Cake
  1. Bake the vanilla cake according to package instructions and let it cool completely.
Make the Whipped Cream
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the heavy whipping cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until soft peaks form.
Assemble the Trifle
  1. Cut the cooled cake into cubes.
  2. In a trifle dish, layer half of the cake cubes, followed by half of the whipped cream, and half of the mixed berries.
  3. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of whipped cream and a garnish of berries on top.
Chill and Serve
  1. Refrigerate the trifle for at least 1 hour before serving to allow flavors to meld.
