Preparation
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, browned beef, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly.
- Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish and top with additional tomato sauce and shredded cheese.
Baking
- Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
