Ingredients
  

Stuffing
  • 4 medium Bell Peppers Any color
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice White or brown
  • 1 lb Ground Beef Can substitute with turkey or chicken
  • 1 cup Tomato Sauce Plus extra for topping
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Onion Powder
  • 1 tsp Italian Seasoning
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheese Cheddar or mozzarella
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1/2 tsp Black Pepper

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the tops off the bell peppers and remove the seeds.
  3. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine cooked rice, browned beef, tomato sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  5. Stuff the mixture into each bell pepper, packing it tightly.
  6. Place the stuffed peppers upright in a baking dish and top with additional tomato sauce and shredded cheese.
Baking
  1. Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  2. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5-10 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  3. Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
